Operation Manager - Newcastle Region

Ron joined the company in 2004 as Operations (Team) Manger for the Newcastle Region office.

Ron is a Senior Manager reporting directly to the Managing Director and responsible for all the projects in his Newcastle & Hunter area division.

Ron has a Bachelor of Building degree from UNSW

Ron's main focus is to establish Brisland as a local quality builder in the Newcastle & Hunter Region. 

Some of the successful projects that Ron has been responsible for are:

  • The 2008 Newcaslte MBA Award winning Coal Services Project, value $4.4m
  • The 2007 MBA Award Winning Muswellbrook Police Station, value $6m
  • The 2006 MBA Award Winning Newcastle Maritime Museum, value $2m
  • The Design & Construction of Bulahdelah Public School, value $4.5
  • The Construction of the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, value $11m.  
  • The Construction of the Maroba Lodge Hostel, value $4.5m.
  • The Construction of the Nazareth Village Hostel value $4.5m.
  • The Design & Construction of the Cyprus Lakes Apartments value $18m.
  • The Development, Design & Construction of the Bi-Lo and specialty shops. Tea Gardens, Value $7m.
  • The Development, Design & Construction of the Dual Service Stations at Williamtown, Value $2.6m.
  • The Development, Design & (supervision of the) Construction of the Parkes Shopping Centre, Value $10.5m.

Previous to commencing with Brisland, Ron was Project Manager with Buildev Constructions for approximately 3 years, managing design and construction on various development projects ranging in value from $1m - $10.5m

Before Buildev, Ron was Project Manager with S.R. Shafren & Doran Constructions managing project design, quality, safety and program on various projects around the Newcastle & Hunter region.

Ron also worked with Richard & Frank on the $75 million Forest Corporate Technology Park Project at Frenchs Forest with Girvan, and then Mirvac from 1988-90.
