Brisland Wins the Stormwater Storage Tanks and Water Services Project, Taronga Zoo, Mosman

Works include:

  • Clearing of the Styx Yard Site at Taronga Zoo including:
    • removal and disposal of all trees,
    • salvage or disposal of spoil and other materials.
  • Construction of three (3) roofed concrete stormwater storage tanks, each approximately 300kL storage volume, to capture stormwater runoff. The proposed storage tank arrangements include the following items:
    • CDS gross pollutant trap unit (supplied by Principal)
    • Outlet and overflow pits
    • Associated pipework
    • Transfer pumps
    • Design, supply, install and commission the hydraulics electrical system.
  • Construction of fire, potable and recycled water supply pipelines running along the existing lower road, and connecting to existing services at the road junction adjacent to the Lower Entry Building, including supply and installation of all necessary components and connections to the existing supplies at both locations.
  • Restoration of road and landscaping around the Site.

The project commences on site in January 2008 with completion due for May 2008.
