The Coal Services Relocation project at Speers Point, for Coal Services Pty Ltd, extended and refurbished the existing building, which was once the Lake Macquarie City Council building.
The extension consisted of new office space, garage and rehabilitation facilities including a new gym, functional assessment area, interview rooms, physiotherapists’ office, treatment rooms and bathroom facilities.
The refurbishment included internal and external works. Internal works included the original hallways, stairway, bathrooms and offices and external works included all masonry and sandstone features.
The abovementioned extension and refurbishment works turned this building into one which is vital to all Coal Services Pty Ltd properties in Northern New South Wales as it now includes a new communications hub.
The project was completed in only 28 weeks and with a budget of $4.35 million.
